Curatus.ca — what we built

Curatus is a membership-first wine club platform built to reduce staff workload, streamline member services, and create a premium, self-serve experience. CDFX Inc designed and engineered the public site plus a secure members area that centralizes membership status, account actions, locker details, and club communications.

A core part of the build is a branded door-access mobile app powered by an access-control SDK. Members authenticate once, the app loads a secure “bootstrap” payload (member profile + access permissions), and unlock capability is automatically tied to membership status—active members can access the facility, suspended or expired members cannot. Staff also benefit from a streamlined point-of-sale workflow for in-club purchases and quick member lookups.

Member experience

  • Secure member dashboard (status, entitlements, and account actions)
  • Locker details shown in the member profile (size/tier + assignment)
  • Upcoming events surfaced inside the members area
  • Clear, frictionless UX designed for repeat usage
  • Branded door-access app experience tied to membership state

Platform + integrations

  • API-first architecture supporting payments, accounting, access control, and analytics
  • Staff point-of-sale workflow for in-club purchases and member lookups
  • Admin locker management system (multiple locker sizes / tiers, assignments, and updates)
  • Membership state drives access permissions (activate / suspend / restore)
  • Performance + technical SEO foundations retained for discoverability and speed

FAQ

What’s included in the members area?

A secure dashboard that surfaces membership status and entitlements, supports common account actions, and provides a consistent channel for member updates and information.

How does the door-access app work?

Members authenticate in the branded app. The app loads a secure bootstrap payload that includes member context and the access permissions required to initialize the SDK and unlock flow.

How are membership status changes handled?

Membership state drives access permission state (e.g., activate, suspend, restore). This keeps access aligned to the real membership record without manual steps.

Where do upcoming events show up?

Upcoming events are surfaced directly in the member experience so members can easily see what’s next and stay engaged.

Does this build keep strong SEO and performance?

Yes. The public-facing pages retain technical SEO fundamentals (clean metadata, structure, and fast delivery) while the members area remains protected and separate.
